Welcome to the 2026 hockey season!  SBE will have teams in senior women's turf, senior women's grass, women's masters and men's masters this year. 

• Pre-season fitness has commenced and pre-season turf training dates have been announced - please check our calendar.  
• Any new players interested in joining SBE this year should contact us now on secretary@hockeysbe.com.au for further details about pre-season activities.  New players are also asked to complete the 2026 Expression of Interest form. 
• SBE Club Registration information will be published soon - watch this space. 
• SBE's RevSport portal for Hockey Aus/Hockey Qld registration is now open and those who are intending to play this year, and who are engaging in pre-season fitness and/or training are strongly encouraged to register in RevSport now so that they are covered for insurance purposes.  Click here to read more and register. 

Hockey Queensland has published a new booklet designed to help new players and parents learn the correct technique for playing hockey in a fun and pocket-sized resource. While intended for new junior players, this booklet is helpful for new players of any age and worth a read if you want tips on correct hockey techniques.  Take a look here.
